Effective 13 September 2026 · version 2026-09-v1 · Simplified Communications Pvt. Ltd. (Simcomm)

Awaiting review by Simcomm's counsel
This wording is a build-ready draft that implements the requirements of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 as the site is actually built. It is not legal advice and must be reviewed and signed off before launch. Remove this block in src/layouts/Legal.astro by passing awaitingCounsel={false}.

1. Who is responsible

Simplified Communications Pvt. Ltd., trading as Simcomm, is the Data Fiduciary for personal data collected through this website, within the meaning of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act").

Registered office: registered office address, line 1, line 2, city, state PIN, India. CIN company CIN.

This notice covers acuityq.ai only. Personal data inside a customer's AcuityQ™ deployment is processed by Simcomm as a processor on that customer's instructions, under the contract with them, and is not covered here.

2. What we collect, and why

WhatWhyBasis
Name, work e-mail, organisation To answer the enquiry you sent and to identify who sent it Your consent, given by ticking the contact box on the form
Phone number (optional) To reply by phone where that is faster Your consent; the field is optional and can be left blank
Job title, sector, team size, modules, timeline (optional) To make the first conversation useful rather than generic Your consent; all optional and marked as such
Your message To answer it Your consent
Page address, referrer and campaign parameters To know which page produced the enquiry, so we can improve it Collected with the enquiry, under the same consent
A first-party identifier cookie (acq_cid) So a repeat submission is recognised as the same person rather than treated as a new enquiry Strictly necessary for the form to work correctly
Server logs — IP address, user agent, timestamp Security, abuse prevention and diagnosing faults Necessary for the legitimate operation and security of the service

We do not collect special categories of data through this site, we do not buy contact data, and we do not enrich what you give us from third-party databases.

3. Consent, and how it is recorded

Consent on this site is specific, informed, unconditional and unambiguous. It is given by ticking a box that starts unticked. Submitting a form is not, by itself, consent.

There are two separate boxes and they are never bundled:

  • Contact about this enquiry. "I agree that Simcomm may use the details above to contact me about this enquiry." Required to submit.
  • Marketing. "Separately, I would like occasional e-mail about AcuityQ — product notes and release news. I can withdraw this at any time." Entirely optional. Leaving it unticked does not affect your enquiry.

When you consent, we store the version of the wording you agreed to — currently 2026-09-v1 — alongside your record, with the date and time. If anybody later asks what you agreed to, we can produce the exact words rather than an assertion that a box was ticked.

4. Withdrawing consent

Withdrawal is as easy as giving. Write to privacy@acuityq.ai and say what you want stopped. We act within seven working days and confirm when it is done. Every marketing e-mail also carries a working one-click unsubscribe.

Withdrawing consent does not undo processing that already happened lawfully, and we may keep a minimal record that you withdrew — that record is what stops us contacting you again.

5. Who else sees it

Within Simcomm: the people who answer enquiries, and, once AcuityQ's Lead Management module is live, the named owner of your enquiry inside it. The following processors handle lead data on our behalf:

ProcessorWhat it doesWhere data sits
hosting providerRuns the website and the database holding your enquiryregion
transactional e-mail providerSends your acknowledgement and our notificationregion
Cloudflare, Inc.Turnstile — checks the form was submitted by a person, not a botGlobal edge network
analytics providerCookie-free, anonymous page analytics, only after you acceptregion

We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with advertising networks, and we do not transfer it to anyone for their own purposes.

Data outside India

confirm whether any processor above stores data outside India, and where Where a processor stores or routes data outside India, it is named above with its location. Transfers are made only to countries not restricted by the Central Government under section 16 of the DPDP Act.

6. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries and lead data: 24 months from our last contact with you, then deleted.
  • Consent records: kept for as long as the data they relate to, and for a short period afterwards as evidence that deletion was correct.
  • Server logs: log retention period, e.g. 90 days.

Deletion is executed, not merely stated. A named person at Simcomm runs it and it is recorded. A retention policy nobody performs is worse than having none.

7. Your rights

As a Data Principal under the DPDP Act you may:

  • Access — ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and what we have done with it.
  • Correct, complete or update — ask us to fix anything inaccurate or out of date.
  • Erase — ask us to delete it, where we are not required to keep it.
  • Nominate — nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
  • Grieve — raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if our answer does not satisfy you.

Write to privacy@acuityq.ai. We respond within fifteen working days, and sooner where we can. We may ask you to confirm your identity — we will ask for the minimum that makes us confident, and nothing more.

8. Grievance Officer

As required by the DPDP Act, Simcomm has a named Grievance Officer:

named grievance officer, Grievance Officer
Simplified Communications Pvt. Ltd.
registered office address, line 1, city, state PIN, India
grievance@acuityq.ai · telephone

How a grievance is handled, and what happens if you are not satisfied, is set out on the grievance page.

9. Children

This is a business website and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect the personal data of anyone under 18. If you believe a child's data has reached us, write to privacy@acuityq.ai and we will delete it.

10. Security

Enquiries travel over TLS to our own server and are written to a database that is not exposed to the internet. The browser never talks to the AcuityQ platform directly and no credential for it exists in this site's code. The controls behind the product itself are listed, control by control, on the security page.

If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and you, in the manner and within the time the DPDP Act requires.

11. Changes

When this notice changes materially, the version stamp at the top changes with it and the previous version is retained so that consent captured under it can still be read against the exact wording. We do not retrospectively apply a new version to consent given under an old one.
